Post-Conference workshop
Post-conference workshops and lab visits are scheduled to take place in Discovery Campus, IIT Madras, NTCPWC (https://ntcpwc.iitm.ac.in/) on Thursday, February 26th, between 10:30-5:30.
The lineup of lectures for "Advances in Physical modelling for coastal hydrodynamics " is as follows:
- 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM : Armour layers in small scale tests: linking novel measurement techniques to the important failure mechanisms | Bas Hofland, TU Delft.
- 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM: The COAST Laboratory: Innovation and Collaboration | Deborah Greaves, University of Plymouth.
- 12:30 PM - 01:30 PM : A Practical Guide to Hydraulic Model Testing: Simulating Environments in Waves and Currents | Nils Kerpen, Leibniz University of Hannover.
- 01:30 PM - 02:30 PM: Lunch Break
- 02:30 PM - 3:30 PM : Experience and recommendations from model tests on the stability of earth structures under flow and wave load conditions | Holger Schuettrumpf, RWTH Aachen.
- 03:30 PM - 4:00 PM : Asia's Large Scale Wave basin: Design and Developments | V. Sriram, IIT Madras.
- 04:00 PM - 4:30 PM : NTCPWC: Collaborations and R&D | K. Murali, IIT Madras
Following the session, attendees will proceed to the NTCPWC (https://ntcpwc.iitm.ac.in/) for the lab visits facilities (4:30 PM - 5:30 PM)

- Smart docking aid.
- Automatic Tide gauge.
