  • Dr Suresh Kumar Govindarajan secured his doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Science, IISc–Bangalore, working on “Fluid Flow through Saturated Subsurface Formations”.
  • He then worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow @ Queens University, Canada; and as Research-Assistant-Professor @ University of North Dakota in US, before landing @ IIT-Madras.
  • His Research Interest includes Reservoir Simulation on Multi-Phase Fluid Flow through Heterogeneous, Carbonate, Coal-Bed-Methane & Shale-Gas Reservoirs; Enhanced Oil Recovery Methods; Geothermal Reservoir Characterization; and Geo-Sequestration of Carbon-di-oxide.
  • He became Professor on 24th July 2015 and Senior-Professor (HAG) on 1st July 2022.
  • He has published 188 Scopus-indexed Peer-Reviewed Journal Articles; and he has completed guiding 19 Doctoral Students & 7 MS Students, so far.
